We use a hand-applied Munsey membrane (tar) added to the entire wall. Our next step involves a 6-millimeter plastic sheeting that we add to cover the wall and wrap the footing. We then add drain mat into the mix, covering the wall to facilitate the water path to the perforated drain tile, which is placed in front of the footing and pitched downhill. The drain tile is then encased in drainage gravel and filled to footer level. The dirt is then backfilled, tamped, and graded to achieve maximum protection and downhill water flow.
